Immunity and Salt

In the time of COVID-19, Japanese media and influencers have reported that fermented foods are effective in boosting immunity. Overseas, however, the top selling supplements seem to be vitamins and minerals, based on the information that minerals and vitamins are effective in boosting immunity. In neighboring China, the Chinese herbal medicine puerariae radixis effective in warming up the body, and Chinese herbal medicines are said to be selling well based on the concept of boosting immunity. There is a lot of evidence to support the idea of boosting immunity, but we wondered if there was anything that could be linked to salt and immunity. The mechanism of salt's properties in the body is in the following order.

(1) Intake salt ➝ (2) Blood flow rises (blood pressure rises) ➝

(3) Body temperature rises ➝ (4) Internal immunity is activated ➝

(5) Growth of external bacteria is suppressed inside the body

Some people believe that cold is the cause of all illnesses. Salt has also been used for centuries to make salt water and gargle.

It is a good idea to take this opportunity to learn more about salt✕ minerals.

From all of us at Salt of Ishigaki artisans, we aim to create salt that tastes good and feels safe to the senses!

Atopic Dermatitis

Nowadays, people with atopic dermatitis and allergies must be having a hard time every day, but in the past, atopic dermatitis and allergies were not as common as they are today. The problem of atopy and allergy is thought to be various.

"People who are stressed out in the workforce."
"Genetic changes from parents to children due to the increase of food compounds."
"Chemical contaminants in the air."
"Immune system weakening due to mineral deficiencies," etc.

As salt artisans, we believe that there is no answer and that we are in a state of chaos.
In such a modern society, we, all salt artisans, recommend "sea salt" through food, and hope that "Ishigaki salt and mineral balance" and "improvement of diet" will help people with atopic dermatitis to reevaluate the basic ingredient "salt" again.

From all the Ishigaki salt artisans who aim to create salt that is "delicious" and "safe" to the senses

Support for Microplastics

Dear Sir or Madam,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patronage and support.

Recently, it was announced by research groups from Incheon University in Korea and the University of Minnesota in the U.S. that "microplastics" are contained in tap water, salt, and U.S. beer from 13 countries around the world, and there have been reports in the media and elsewhere. (Japan has not yet been surveyed).

Microplastics are plastic debris with a diameter of 5 millimeters or less, and their effects on human health are not known, according to media reports. The company has been in the business of filtering seawater since its inception.

We have confirmed with the relevant authorities that there is no established method for testing for microplastics, and it is difficult to request a testing laboratory to do so.

Due to the above problem, Salt of Ishigaki does not currently analyze microplastics, but as soon as a testing method is established, Salt of Ishigaki will request a testing laboratory to do so.

We will continue to place the preservation of Ishigaki Island's natural environment and the safety and security of our products as our first priority, and we look forward to your continued patronage of Ishigaki salt.

Reference: 1 micrometer = 1/1000 of a millimeter
